Textile mural objects

Our collection consists of tapestries that hang freely on the wall and other textile mural objects. By textile mural objects we mean murals in (mixed) textile techniques and materials, that do not hang freely on the wall. This work has been mounted on a frame or on another base, framed or attached to a pedestal. This type of objects is similar to a painting, picture or sculpture. 

 

Examples are Bausenwein's batikwork, some hand-woven creations by Jaeger and the smaller needle-work by Strömsdörfer and Vallet. Le Ster's smaller pieces are in fact paintings, with a very textile (tactile) aspect.
